Swim is in the Columbia River;
water temperature is 65-70 F. Wet suits are permitted.
Bike course has gentle hills. Run course is level along
the Columbia River. There are 12 age divisions for each
race (starting with 15 & under in 5 year increments
- ie: 16 to 19 years) as well as Clydesdales and Athenas.
No team entries in this race.

Pre-Race Packet Pick-up/Registration
Packet can be picked up at the race site on Friday
evening from 5-7pm and on race morning beginning at
7am.
PLEASE NOTE: No refunds will be issued after
August 31, 2009. Refund requests submitted prior to
deadline will incur a $10 processing fee. Online registration
fees are subject to a processing fee and this will
not be included in refunds. T-shirts provided to participants
who register prior to September 2. All others will
be mailed (this includes day of race registrations).

Run - The out and back course follows the paved
bike/walking trail west from Riverfront Park transition
area. The Olympic course (10k run) is changed past
the Sprint Course turn around, to follow new sections
of the paved trail that is closer to the river.
Restrooms are available at the 10K turn around. |

All competitors will receive
a Timing Chip in their race packet. You must wear the
Chip on your shoe (per the instructions on the packet)
if you want to receive your race time. Any participant
who does not wear the Chip on their running shoe will
not receive a finish result. Also, the Chip must be
returned at the conclusion of the event or pay a $30.00
replacement fee (see Waiver). If you do not wish to
be timed, feel free to give the Chip back to the volunteer
when picking up your packet.
Unofficial race results will be posted at the finish
line as the race is in progress. Official race results
will be posted at www.racecenter.com within 48 hours
of the race.

Awards will be presented, at the conclusion
of the race, to the Overall Male and Female finishers,
the top Master Male and Female finishers, as well as
the top three male and female finishers in each age
division of each race.
Join us for post race lunch. Additional
lunches can be purchased for $10.
Penrose Photography will provide finish line and course
photography. Proofs will be on the website by Tuesday
evening following the event (www.finishshots.com).

Riverfront Park is located just off Exit 85 from I-84
Shilo Inn is located just east of the race site (Exit
86). Call 1-541-298-5502 for reservations.
PARKING ISSUE: PLEASE CARPOOL
TO THE EVENT SITE IF YOU PLAN TO LEAVE BEFORE NOON.
Parking is extremely limited at the Boat Marina (to
the West of the Event Site).
Park at Riverfront Park only if you plan to stay until
approximately noon. Vehicle access in or out of the
park is eliminated during the swim and bike portion
of the event.
Once Race Preparation starts at 8:30, cars will not
be allowed in or out until the last bike rider is in
generally 11:45 Noon.
